Rugged and secure, yet clean and attractive, PowerPods are better than rack mounting. Over 70 pre-cut PowerPods are available for all products from popular manufacturers. The 1.8" opening in the swivel tube provides plenty of room to pass through wires and connectors. PowerPods are positioned with a 20-degree tilt-back viewing angle.

PowerPods for Sail are intended to be mounted on a flat surface Perhaps under the cubbyhole or aft end of the cockpit table, particularly on twin wheel boats.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap. We use the best UV resistant material that provides optimal protection.High gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "defined compression"me many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws

We We use all stainless steel mounting hardware provided with each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better hold when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large caliber thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used pto interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
