NavPods RailMount are best used for mounting an autopilot controller, navigation instrument, or small chart plotter to an existing cradle guard. Fits any 1" or 1" tube. 1.25" in diameter. A chrome-plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle in rainy weather. All wires run from the NavPod, up 'in the center of the stainless steel arm and in the base guard This application provides a clean and robust electronic installation, without replacing the base guard.

The high gloss material

NavPods are made with custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap.let's read the best UV resistant material that offers a high gloss white finish that matches the improvements of gel coated fiberglass.include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

The nickel-plated screwss chrome plated

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we supply nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a bit of bling!

The manufacturing process

Heavy- Gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
