RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, navigation instrument or 'a small chartplotter on an existing base protection. Fits any 1" or 1.25" diameter tube. A chrome-plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day. All cables run from the NavPod down the center of the stainless steel arm and into the cradle guard. This application provides a clean, sturdy installation for electronics, without replacing the base guard.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with a plastic cap Custom coextruded acrylic
ABS material. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and1offers better structural rigidity.

The tight seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system offering
an excellent waterproof seal between the front and back of the NavPod for
protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand
na conditionswet navigation at sea. Gen3 improvements include a
thicker external silicone seal with. Improved flush fit. The internal EPDM seal
is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "defined compression" like many
rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the Nav.Pod in the

come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances. We've redesigned and revamped all the popular
NavPods. We have re-examined all the old products and selected the best design elements from each and incorporated them into each new Gen3 product.
