Grey Ultra Stiff High Torque RTV Silicone Gasket Manufacturer - 13 oz

OEM Specified. Permatex Ultra silicones have been developed to respond to technological developments. Safe for sensors, low odor, non-corrosive. Exceptional oil resistance and tolerance to joint movement. Eight times more flexible than cork/composite seals; three times more oil resistant than conventional silicones. Temperature range -65°F to 500°F (-54°C to 260°C) intermittent; resists automotive and workshop fluids and vibrations.

Applications:

Automotive - Suggested Applications: Valve Covers, Oil Pans, Automatic Transmission Housings, End Gaskets intake manifold, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings
Heavy-duty - Suggested applications: cover housing gasket, differential, assembly onrear axle housing, power dividers, axle shaft flanges

Instructions:

For better results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent such as Permatex Brake & Parts Cleaner.
Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. Joints are best formed using a 1/16″ to 1/4″ (1.6mm to 6.4mm) bead.
Apply a continuous, even bead of silicone on one surface, surrounding all bolt holes. Assemble the parts immediately while the silicone is still wet. Tighten by hand until material begins to escape around the flange. Allow to dry for one hour, then retighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
The silicone will peel off in one hour and fully cure in 24 hours, under normal conditions. Allow extra time in cold or very dry weather.
Clean uncured silicone from hands, toolsand clothing with Permatex Fast Orange Hand Cleaner.

NOTE: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
