The EV-DBW Pilot system is an advanced digital autopilot for boats with drive-by-wire electronic steering. The Volvo Edition of EV-DBW comes complete with all the hardware and wiring needed to connect to a Volvo Penta IPS or Aquamatic propulsion system. The EV-2 sensor core communicates directly with the boat's digital steering system using CAN bus communication for precise and reliable autopilot control. EV-DBW Evolution autopilot for Volvo

The EV -DBW Volvo has been designed for the latest drive-by-wire steering systems and connects directly to the Raymarines SeaTalk ng bus. Connects to Volvo IPS using an ECI-100 interface. Evolution autopilot systems sense their environment and instantly calculate and evolve steering inputs to maximize performance. The result is precise, safe course keeping, regardless of vessel speed or sea conditions. Evolution autopilots steer with such precision that they can save fuel and get you to your destination faster.

The EV sensor core

At the center of every Evolution system is the sensor core Smart EV, a 9-axis sensor that monitors the vessel's movement in all three dimensions. Innovative EV sensor core combines advanced solid-state sensors with Evolution d's autopilot processorin one easy-to-install housing.

Mount the EV sensor core above or below decks, the rugged housing is fully sealed and built to IPX6 waterproof and submersion standards and IPX7.

At the center of every Evolution system is the core of the intelligent EV sensor, a 9-axis sensor that monitors the movement of the vessel in threes dimensions. The innovative EV sensor core combines advanced solid-state sensors with the Evolution autopilot processor in a single, easy-to-install package.

Mount the EV sensor core above or below the bridges, the rugged housing is fully sealed and built to IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof and submersion standards.
