SailPods are intended for mounting a single radar or chartplotter at the helm. Navigation at your fingertips? "Where you need it, when you need it." SailPods are the smart solution for mounting your radar or chartplotter at the helm, where you can easily operate it and clearly see every minute detail on the screen. NavPods have a high-gloss finish, giving you a clean mounting solution while hiding unsightly wires. Tamper-proof nickel chrome screws provide a little bling and a lot of security. Designed with a double-sealed waterproof seal, NavPods protect your electronic devices from the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. It is best to mount a SailPod on a Single Bend AngleGuard or on the sectisloping of a Double Bend Angle Guard with an InstrumentPod mounted above on the straight section.

Structural Rigidity — Improved Gen3 cements now include thicker gauge acrylic coated ABS material which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof seal — All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. LGen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SailPod in the future in order to service your electronic devices. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Nickel and Chrome Plated Stainless Steel — We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Nickel-Chrome Plated Stainless Steel Tamper Proof Screws provide security combined with a little style!
