PowerPods are designed to the serious boater who dynamites offshore. He demands the most from his boat and its electronics. It needs strong, sturdy support to protect vital electronic components from the harshest offshore navigation conditions. Rugged and secure, yet clean and attractive, PowerPods are better than rack mounting. Over 70 pre-cut PowerPods are available for all products from popular manufacturers. The 1.8" opening in the swivel tube provides plenty of room to pass through wires and connectors. PowerPods are positioned with a 20-degree tilt-back viewing angle.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with ABS material coated with co-acrylic custom extruded. We use the absolute best UV treated.tough material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The tight seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression defined" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome plated nickel screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large Round Head Tamper Proof Screws There are deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers using CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
