PowerPods are designed for serious boaters who sail offshore. He demands the most from his boat and its electronics. It needs strong, sturdy support to protect vital electronic components from the harshest offshore navigation conditions. Rugged and secure, yet clean and attractive, PowerPods are better than rack mounting. Over 70 pre-cut PowerPods are available for all products from popular manufacturers. The 1.8" opening in the swivel tube provides plenty of room to pass through wires and connectors. PowerPods are positioned with a 20-degree tilt-back viewing angle.

PowerPods for Sail are intended to be mplaced on a flat surface. Perhaps under the cubbyhole or aft end of the cockpit table, particularly on twin wheel boats.

Structural rigidity

The Gen3 enh Improvements now include thicker gauge acrylic coated ABS material which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially harmful effects on plastic. These NavPods are really strong!

Waterproof seal

All NavPods are made with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod. This seal offers the best protectionon your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The Poran Microcell Polyurathane internal seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to 'compression setting' like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel

The NavPod uses all 316 stainless steel hardware provided with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. For NavPods Gen3, we provide stainless steel tamper-proof screwsoxidizable nickel-chrome plated for added safety combined with a little bling!
