RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, navigation instrument or a small chart plotter on an existing protective base. . Fits any 1" or 1.25" diameter tube. A chrome-plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day. All cables run from the NavPod down the center of the stainless steel arm and into the cradle guard. This application provides a clean, robust installation for electronics,
without replacing the socket protection.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with custom co-extruded acrylic coated ABS material. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a superior finishVery bright white color that matches gel-coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides greater structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome-plated nickel screws

We use everythingstainless steel mounting hardware included with each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3, we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper-resistant screws for added security. Combined with a little bling!

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
