RailMount NavPod for Garmin GPSMAP 1042xsv/1022xsv/1022 (fits 1? or 1.25 ? tube)

RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, navigation instrument or small chartplotter to a existing protection base. Fits any 1" or 1.25" diameter tube. A chrome nickel plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day. All wiring runs from the NavPod down the center of the stainless steel arm and into the base shield. This application provides a clean, sturdy installation for electronics, without replacing the base guard.

Rail mounts are designed for all popular standard size instruments as well as plotters.rs of 7- and 9-inch boards.

Structural Rigidity — Gen3 enhancements now include thicker gauge acrylic-coated ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof seal — All RailMount NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer seal withan improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel — We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Tamper-proof nickel-chrome-plated stainless steel screws provide security combined with a bit of style!
