Structural Rigidity – Gen3 improvements now include. a thicker gauge acrylic coated ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex when tightening and more. the pressure on the joint est uniform. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. Acrylic cap protects ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects. Perfect on plastic.

Waterproof seal – All SystemPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SystemPods are designed to withstand the harshest wet offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The Poran Microcell Polyurathane internal seal is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "defined compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SystemPod in the future in order to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Nickel-plated, chrome-plated stainless steel – We useLet's read about all the 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. For NavPods Gen3 we provide chrome nickel plated brackets. Stainless steel tamper evident screws for added security combined with a bit of style!
