The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.
Waterproof Seal – All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal provides the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Improved themGen3 versions include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression" like many rubber compounds.
