It is best to mount a SailPod on a single bend AngleGuard or the. inclined section of a double curvature corner guard with an InstrumentPod mountedabove on the straight section.

Structural Rigidity – Gen3 improvements now include a thicker gauge acrylic capImproved ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity . This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof seal – All SailPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing a excellent sealing. This seal offers the best protection for your marine electronics. SailPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a joinThicker silicone outer t with improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds.
