High-gloss material
NavPods are made with custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap. We use the meiTheir UV resistant material which provides excellent UV resistance. High gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material, improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

Waterproof seal
All NavPods are made with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod. for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we supply nickel and chrome plated stainless steel.Tamper proof eel screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
The Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development.
