RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, sailing instrument or small chart plotter to an existing protective mount. Fits any 1" or 1.25" diameter tube. A chrome-plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day. All cables run from the NavPod down the center of the stainless steel arm and into the cradle guard. This application provides a clean, sturdy installation for electronics, without replacing the base guard.

High gloss material
NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded acrylic cap
now include thicker material that improves strength and
provides better structural rigidity.

Waterproof seal
All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing
an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for
protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand
the conditions ofmost difficult wet offshore navigation. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM seal
is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "retentive compression" like many
rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all mounting hardware stainless steel supplied with
each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof nickel chrome plated stainless steel screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances. We've redesigned and revamped all the popular
NavPods. We looked at all the old products and selected the best
design elements from each and incorporated them into each new Gen3 product.
